A Day to Remember: Our Visit to the Art of Living International Centre

I, Monisha Y. Naik, of Grade 10 and President of the Interact Club, Tapovan School, along with all our Interactors, would like to share the enriching experience of our visit to the Art of Living International Centre, Bangalore.

As we entered the serene expanse of the Centre, nestled in nature’s gentle embrace, a deep sense of calm began to settle within us. It felt as though the entire space whispered peace into the everyday chaos we carry. The lush greenery, tranquil pathways, and the spiritual energy that touched every corner of the campus made us pause, breathe a little deeper, smile a little wider and simply be.

The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly our time at the Goshala. There is something deeply grounding about being in the presence of cows. As we stepped into the Goshala, the air itself felt purer, not just because of the surroundings, but because of the gentle sacred energy these divine beings radiate. We spent hours feeding them, stroking their soft coats, and doing seva by cleaning the space with brooms provided. It was an act of service, done with humility and love.

Listening to the caretakers speak about the cultural and spiritual significance of cows in Indian tradition deepened our respect and admiration. Their stories and insights touched our hearts. Looking into the calm, soulful eyes of the cows reminded us that love does not always need words. Sometimes it just exists in a silent, beautiful connection.

Time flew as we bonded, not just with the animals, but also with each other. Surrounded by gratitude and peace, we made one final heartfelt gesture. On behalf of the Tapovan School Interact Club, we were honoured to donate ₹5000 to the Goshala. This contribution, though modest, symbolised our love, respect and commitment to supporting meaningful causes. It was more than a donation. It was a promise to care, to connect and to give back to a space that had given us so much.

The coordination between their team and ours was seamless. From the moment we entered the Art of Living campus, a member of their team guided us with warmth and clarity, enhancing our experience. It was a true example of collaborative spirit and teamwork.

As we bid farewell to the Goshala and left the Art of Living Centre, we carried with us more than just memories. We carried fulfilment, gratitude, and a sense of having been a part of something greater than ourselves. It was not just a visit. It was a soulful journey, one that reminded us of the joy of giving, the strength of unity, and the quiet power of compassion.

We are deeply thankful to our Founder, Sri J. V. R. Sharma Sir, and our Principal, Ms. J. A. Vani Sharma Ma’am, whose vision and leadership made this journey possible. Their unwavering commitment to sustainability and value based education was reflected throughout this experience.

A special thanks to our Coordinator, Mrs. Gowthami Ma’am, for her constant support and encouragement, and to Ms. Anju Rao Ma’am for her valuable guidance throughout.

Thank you
